Sad news coming over the wires this morning…

Legendary actor David Carradine (Kung Fu, Kill Bill) was found dead this morning in his hotel room in Thailand.

Conflicting reports as to the cause of the 72-year-old’s death are circulating, with his agent reporting “natural causes”, but unconfirmed reports indicating his death was a suicide by hanging.

Regardless of the circumstances surrounding his death, I bow my head and raise my glass to a man who kept us entertained for many decades.  Godspeed, Mr. Carradine, and may the grasshoppers lead you into a peaceful rest.

I, too, was amazed at the amount of films Mr. Carradine had tucked under his belt.

I’m also amazed with the news stories coming out regarding the circumstances surrounding his death. How very sad that the lust for money far exceeds any compassion and respect, not only for the deceased but also for his grieving family and friends.

    … 😦

Be well, grasshopper .. and thanks for bringing a smile to my face as I remember days long gone by calling you that. 🙂
