Although “Living in Grey” is Last Cry‘s second album, the band is active for more than two decades. After massive changes to the line-up they are now a trio, consisting of Andrew Birch, Tim Green and Chris Carey.
The album can be cosidered as alternative and post punk not far from the Editors style but it is also early 80’s pop in heart in the early Spadau Ballet or Flock of Seagulls way. That means that almost thirty years of musicbritish music only in one release.
Polymorphic yes, but well balanced beetween the past and the present, “Living in Gey” is a must for seekers of guitar dreamy pop who also own a reasonably good post punk record collection. Not bad for begginers though, since this album is a statement on properly played alternative rock.
