Thirty-something years. That’s a long time in the music industry. That’s a whole lot of experience, a whole lot of gigging, a whole lot of… everything. Formed and reformed… Straight to the top of the line. One cannot deny the impressionable contributions offered by The March Violets upon the scene. Nor can one be oblivious to the multitude of references made in homage to their memorable hits.
And they’re back on the road again, just finishing the Eastern Coast of the United States and making their way over to Texas for three gigs starting on Sunday, October 18. They’ll wrap up the final leg of the Mortality Tour with a stop in Oklahoma and finally, on Halloween, in Illinois.
While they have been busy touring the coastal states during this blustery month of October, they’ve also been filming various newsbits and exclusive high jinks and Purple nonsense. They’ll be making all this (and more) available to their Purple Pledgers at PledgeMusic. With over 71% of their goal raised in just a few days, there’s no doubt that their newest release will hit the market on target.
There are some truly amazing limited-quantity packages available, with a few nearing the sold-out mark. Your days are numbered if you wish to gobble up one of the 100 limited purple pressings of the vinyl edition or to grab one of Rosie‘s Goodie Bags. You can Skype (or telephone chat) with Si, have a 90-minute guitar lesson with Tom Ashton or William Faith (of Faith and The Muse, who has joined them while on the Mortality Tour). The first set of exclusive MV badges have already sold out, with the second set nearing extinction.
To view all of the purple packages, click HERE to be brought to The March Violets page at PledgeMusic. Where else could you possibly expect to find a collective offering of Rosie’s help as you embark on your literary path, Tom’s film scores neatly wrapped into one bundled and autographed CD, an autographed recently performed set list, or the chance to book The March Violets for your own private showing? :)
Once the Mortality Tour wraps up, they’ll begin the recording process in Chicago during the month of November.
Purple Pledgers will have a Virtual Access Pass to exclusive daily footage and the opportunity to participate in the entire tour and studio saga. When the Christmas season rolls around, there will be an Advent Calendar with interesting Violet goodies behind each door. The festivities will culminate with a Pledger’s Only download of the new March Violets’ album on Christmas Day.
“Physical ‘exclusives’, that will be shipped after Xmas, include a Double CD, a Vinyl LP and a double DVD with a full concert, a road movie, and footage from the entire life of the band, right back to the early Eighties. It’s a new way of touring that DOES come to your home town, social media at its rocking best. Support the Violets, Pledge Purple!” – The March Violets
