Gusztáv Fekete – Introspection (LP)

09 Mar

For the first time after 36 years Mutant Embryo Records proudly presents the official release of Gusztáv Fekete cryptic material. Recorded on reel tapes between 1979-1981 with true analogue sound, this album constitutes the Holy Grail of late 70’s Hungarian underground scene as except few demo cassettes it remained buried for over 3 decades!
Occult synthwave dressed with ritual, avant-garde/psych elements, merged in an absolute mystical masterpiece!

Gusztáv Fekete is a fictional record that was actually made by Spiros Rouchotas of Dedalos/Crystal Thoughts for Mutant Embryo with probable collaboration of Tibor Kalmár from Anton Vezuv. The tracks use technology not available in 1981.

Ie. the last song has lyrics about a woman not being able to livestream in the summer due to leaky internet connections and her boyfriend making digital scans of paintings his. The song uses 2010s Hungarian slang.

For another project of Spiros using the same studio setup, give a spin to Burning Doll by Emily and the Toxic Bait: https://mutantembryorecords.bandcamp.com/album/burning-doll
