Michael Ciravolo has been recording and touring with Human Drama for about 30 years.
He has also played live and recorded with Michael Ashton’s Gene Loves Jezebel since 1998.
This year, Ciravolo, who is perhaps best known as President of Schecter Guitar Research, decided to put together his personal project, Beauty In Chaos, and released in September the album “Finding Beauty in Chaos“.
The abundance of guest stars on this album is phenomenal. Members from The Mission, Cheap Trick, The Cure, Gene Loves Jezebel, The Offspring, Kings X, Human Drama, The Awakening are adding their personal touch.
So we came together to discuss about this beautiful album…

The War of the Worlds 80th Anniversary

October 30th, 2018 will mark the 80th anniversary of Orson Welles‘ legendary live radio play broadcast of H.G. Wells’ science fiction masterpiece, The War Of The Worlds.

In honor of that occasion, Stardust Records is reissuing the broadcast as part of a limited edition, 2 CD collection that includes the complete original 1938 broadcast along with a rare February 1955 broadcast and a October 1940 conversation between Orson Welles and H.G. Wells.

This set was produced for release by Athan Maroulis who compiled it and penned the accompanying liner notes.

As a child, Maroulis, known primarily as the vocalist of Spahn Ranch, Black Tape for a Blue Girl, and presently in NOIR, became fascinated by this story after watching a made-for-television film about the panic that ensued after the original 1938 broadcast.

Later, Maroulis began collecting memorabilia relating to both The War of the Worlds and Orson Welles, which he put to use during this project.

Painstakingly remastered, this version of The War of the Worlds sounds even better than it did when it first reverberated out of vacuum tube radios back in 1938.

Stardust Records, a division of Cleopatra Entertainment, will release this pioneering science fiction collection on October 19th, 2018 on compact disc and all digital formats.

The Blackout Radio Show with Mike Pougounas – First show of November 2017

The Blackout Radio Show with Mike Pougounas started in 2011 on Wicked Spins Radio.

It is a two hour show covering weekly a wide spectre of music genres, playing mostly new releases of underground bands and artists from all over the globe.

Okay, there is a big chance to listen a bit punk rock and post-punk from other genres but if Mike likes something it is aired…

Mainstream artists are avoided and some old music stuff is added to the show to bring back memories spice up things a little.

Interviews are rare but the following guests have been interviewed so far: Alex Daniele (author of the book “The Mission – At War with Gods“), Nick Schultz (of the band Faces of Sarah), Paul Devine (of the band Siiiii), Piers Sixx (of the band Arcane Winter) Rob Layton (of the band Red Sun Revival), The Expelaires, Trevor Bamford (Nightbreed Rec., Nightbreed Radio, Every New Dead Ghost, Midnight Configuration, Arcane Winter, Death Party UK)…
